Camera calibration is fundamental to 3D sensing/measurement with robotics/machine vision. The principle of the two-stage technique is reviewed so that the readers can grasp the main ideas quickly. Some new experimental results, which indicate that stage 2 of the two-stage calibration technique only requires one iteration to reach good results, are reported. Several new techniques developed for calibrating the scale and lens center are outlined.
