Magnetic self-bias in the barber pole MR structure

The Barber Pole structure is shown to have a magnetic bias field produced by the sense current in the shorting bars. This introduces, an asymmetry in the magnetic response and aligns the domains in the magnetoresistive sensor. © 1977, IEEE. All rights reserved.
