Using the matrix refinement equation for the construction of wavelets on invariant sets
Abstract
We construct discontinuous wavelets on invariant sets in ℝn by using the matrix refinement equation and the basic operation of translation and scale. In the special case of the unit interval we show how to modify our construction toobtain continuous wavelets. © 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
