Some new bounds for binary multiple burst-correcting codes

Some new bounds are presented for multiple burst-correcting codes that extend the previously known bounds, such as the Reiger and the Gallager bounds. It is shown that both the new bounds coincide for block codes. For some values, the new bounds improve the extended volume bound. © The Institution of Engineering and Technology 2014.
