Resolution of overlapping spectra using frequency-domain fluorometry

Commercial high-resolution phase and modulation fluorometers allow real time resolution of excitation and emission spectra of fluorophores with different lifetimes in a mixture. The technique can also be used for the separation of fluorescence and phosphorescence spectra of the fluorophore. © 1988 SPIE.
