Equations which give the relaxation behavior of the magnetization in the case of ferrimagnetic resonance are derived from quantum mechanical rate equations for spin-wave magnons. It is shown that the concept of a unique relaxation time for a particular component of magnetization is not in general valid. © 1961 The American Physical Society.
