Pyroelectric Detection of Radiation-Induced Thermal Wave Phenomena
Abstract
The use or pyroelectric sensors for the detection of radiation-induced thermal wave phenomena is reviewed. This new detection scheme is compared with more established photoacoustic and photothermal techniques. Examples emphasizing the versatility and the unique properties of this new detection scheme as well as its inherent limitations are discussed. © 1986 IEEE
