Multi-cloud Solution Design for Migrating a Portfolio of Applications to the Cloud

Organizations nowadays tend to use multiple cloud providers when migrating their applications to the cloud. While this approach has its advantages, it is challenging to come up with a multi-cloud solution. One, it takes considerable time and resources to gather all the features of the applications. Second, there is no analytical automated way of efficiently recommending a multi-cloud solution. To overcome these drawbacks, we propose a novel methodology that performs text mining on application data to evaluate cloud-migration feasibility and then recommend multicloud solution for the client using an optimization model. We illustrate our approach with an example use case.
