Molecular orbital theory for the analysis of photoemission spectra

Molecular orbital theory contributes significantly to the understanding of photoemission spectra; in particular, theory can separate individual effects which are difficult to distinguish experimentally. Two recent theoretical studies are reviewed to show the kind of information which can be obtained. © 1990.
