Microwave (9-GHz) conductivity measurements are reported in the intermediate-valence compound SmB6. The absence of a frequency-dependent conductivity strongly suggests that a gap develops in the density of states at low temperatures, in agreement with earlier transport and optical studies. © 1984 The American Physical Society.
