Magneto-optical properties of chromium-alloyed manganese bismuth thin films

The structure and magneto-optical properties of chromium-alloyed MnBi thin films were investigated for short-wavelength rewritable optical recording media applications. Transmission electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy were used to examine the properties of the films as a function of the film thickness, composition and temperature.
