Kinetic surface segregation and the evolution of nanostructures
Abstract
Kinetic surface segregation and the evolution of nanostructures were investigated. Numerical results were presented for the classic problem of smoothing of a surface ripple and for filling of a V groove by annealing. The results demonstrated the key role of kinetic surface segregation in slowing the morphological evolution.
