Internal friction of splat-cooled GdCu and GdFe alloys
Abstract
No evidence has been found for a solute-related internal friction peak in splat-cooled crystalline Gd-alloys containing a few atomic percent of either Cu or Fe. It is therefore highly unlikely that these alloys contain interstitial point defects of the previously suggested disubstitutional type. © 1977.
