High reflectivity double cell nematic guest-host display

A display cell structure with freedom from parallax is describe to be suitable for application to high resolution displays. It enables high reflectivity and high contrast to be obtained simultaneously using crossed nematic guest-host configurations with either positive or negative dielectric anisotropy. The reflectivity and contrast characteristics are substantially independent of the viewing plane and show no regions of contrast inversion.
