Fabrication and electrical characterization of polyaniline-based nanofibers with diameter below 30 nm

Conducting polymer nanofibers with diamers smaller than 100 nm were fabricated. Behavior in the electronic properties of polymer nanofibers was observed through SCM and single-fiber transport experiments. Measurements of single fibers with sharply varying diameter provide evidence that Schottky barriers form at the fiber-electrode contact, with a more opaque barrier at the thin end.
