Direct excitation of standing-wave vibrations of domain walls

We propose a method of parametrically exciting natural vibrations of magnetic 180° domain-wall arrays without involving an intermediate pump mode. The rf field is applied along the hard direction parallel to the wall plane. The derived excitation threshold amounts to several oersted for typical low-loss garnet films. © 1983.
