The temperature dependence of the Debye-Waller factor for crystalline (f.c.c. space-lattice) heavy methane obtained from direct Monte Carlo calculations appears to give reasonable indication of the orientational phase transitions observed at 22.2 K and 27.7 K. © 1978.
