Calculation of the x-ray photoemission spectra for (SN)x including the photoionization cross sections

In a recent paper we had used calculated total density of states to interpret photoemission spectra for (SN)x. We have now calculated photoionization-cross-section modulated total density of states using a simple model. It is found that if the calculated total density of states is modulated by photoionization-cross-section effects, the agreement between theory and experiment is substantially improved. © 1978 The American Physical Society.
