Bridging Planning and Reasoning in Natural Languages with Foundational Models

Abstract

There is a growing interest in utilizing Foundational Models for complex tasks that require multi-step reasoning and planning. This promising area of research is seeing an increasing number of contributions from researchers in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Planning, and Robotics. To facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing among these researchers, we propose to organize the second iteration of PLAN-FM Bridge program. The first iteration of the PLAN-FM Bridge was held at AAAI 2025, where we saw more than 200 registrants and even more attendees. Similar to AAAI 2025, this program will provide a stage to discuss and exchange perspectives, identify critical challenges and outline research agendas. The bridge will provide a rich program of activities, including tutorials, panel discussions, talks, and networking opportunities.
