Sadhana Kumaravel

Sadhana Kumaravel is an AI Researcher and Software Engineer at IBM Research, where she specializes in tool-calling, neurosymbolic reasoning, semantic parsing, and advanced natural language processing. With nearly a decade of experience in artificial intelligence, her research focuses on bridging the gap between symbolic logic and deep learning to build more robust, interpretable, and capable language technologies.

Her recent research explores the boundaries of multi-sentence logic and complex tool-use configurations. This work includes developing frameworks for structured representation across document boundaries, as well as advancing large language models in complex multi-turn tool-calling scenarios and multi-step reasoning patterns.

She holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University (SUNY), where her research focused on role-based process knowledge extraction.
