Danica Murray brings a dynamic blend of scientific curiosity, philosophical insight, and psychological expertise to her work. With an academic foundation in psychology and philosophy - following an early pursuit of biochemistry - Danica continues to nurture her passion for science while applying interdisciplinary thinking to real-world challenges. She was inducted into the National Honor Society for Philosophy in 2011, a recognition of her academic excellence and critical thinking.
Danica began her post graduate career in the nonprofit mental health sector, where she quickly grew into a leadership role, championing compassionate, evidence-based care. During this time, she became professionally trained and certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, which deepened her ability to support individuals and teams with empathy and strategy. She later transitioned to a role in the public sector, supporting a branch of the U.S. military in employee relations.
Currently a Client Operations Manager with IBM Research at the Albany Lab, Danica leverages her strengths in relationship-building, big-picture thinking, and strategic problem solving. Known for her ability to connect the dots and identify unseen gaps, she also brings an impeccable attention to detail to every project she leads. Among her most cherished accolades is an unofficial but heartfelt title awarded by her military colleagues - "NPO" or Nicest Person in the Office" - a true testament to the positivity and care she brings to every opportunity.
Born and raised in the Capital Region of New York, Danica resides in the area with her husband, their three children and two dogs. Outside of work, she finds joy in an active lifestyle and is a proud member of the OrangeTheory Fitness Clifton Park community. Whether biking, camping, skiing or just soaking in the outdoors with her family, Danica values connection, balance, and making meaningful memories.
